I had the honor of joining a Bronx County school for career day — talking to kids about dentistry, orthodontics, and what it looks like to build a career in medicine. We laughed, we tried on the white coat, and we talked about why straight teeth and big dreams have a lot more in common than people think.
The best part? One of my own patients now wants to become an orthodontist herself. That, more than anything, is the reason I do this work.
